A Mexico couple have been charged with selling drugs from their home located near a school and park.

Mexico Public Safety says their officers were called to a home on a report of a domestic disturbance in the 500 block of South Jefferson during the morning hours of Wednesday, October 9, 2024.

When they got to the home, they said they saw baggies commonly used to sell drugs and a bag of methamphetamine out in plain view.

The couple living in the home, Steven Duniphan and his wife, Rhonda Duniphan allowed officers to search the home.

According to court documents they found 21.7 grams of meth, 118.4 grams of marijuana packaged for sale, and several various prescription pills.

Officers said they also found a ledger showing the dates and amounts of drugs they had sold, and who still owed them money.

The home is located less than 500 feet from an elementary school and from a public park.

The couple was taken to the Audrain County Jail and is being held without bond.
