The Mexico High School football team will be on the road playing Hannibal in the Class 4 District 5 semifinals on Friday, November 8, 2024.

Mexico is the 7th seed in the bracket and advanced to this game after upsetting the 2nd seeded Kirksville Tigers last week in Kirksville.

Mexico head coach Steve Haag says In the land of Class 4 it doesn’t get any easier”.

AM 1340 KXEO will be carrying the game live, featuring a pre-game interview with head coach Steve Haag starting at 6:30.

Kickoff is set for 7pm.

The game will also be streaming live on KXEO.com.

Four Paris Lady Coyotes have been named to the Class 11st team All-Region softball team.

It was announced yesterday (Thursday) that pitcher Kennedy Ashenfelter, catcher Emma Ashenfelter, outfielders Reese Sutton and Sophia Crusha all earned the 1st team All-Region honors.

The Lady Coyotes ended their season with a 23-8 record and advanced to the softball program’s first ever Final Four.

University of Missouri women’s basketball toppled Southern 66-51 in the home opener last (Thursday) night at Mizzou Arena.

Sophomore guard Grace Slaughter topped the Tigers in the scoring column with 15 points.

Up next the Mizzou women will host Norfolk State at 2pm on Sunday at Mizzou Arena.

The University of Missouri men’s basketball team makes its return to Mizzou Arena tonight (Friday), opening its home season versus Howard.

Tip-off is scheduled for 7pm.

The St. Louis Blues lost 4-2 to the Utah Hockey Club last (Thursday) at the Enterprise Center.

Pavel Buchnevich had two assists for the Blues, who fell to 7-7 on the season.

The Baltimore Ravens defeated the Cincinnati Bengals 35-34 in a shootout on Thursday Night Football.

Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson threw three fourth-quarter touchdowns.
