Several area high school football teams will be playing for a District Championship in the State playoffs on Friday, November 15, 2024.

Starting off in Class 1, District 2 Semifinals, Salisbury is on the road at Tipton.

In the Class 1, District 2 Semifinals, Westran hosts Harrisburg.

Bowling Green plays Hermann in Hermann for the Class 2, District 2 championship.

Father Tolton travels to Higginsville to play Lafayette County with the Class 2, District 3 Championship on the line.

South Shelby is at home against Monroe City in the Class 2, District 7 title game.

10-0 Brookfield plays 11-0 Buchanan for the Class 2, District 8 title.

Moberly hosts Hallsville in the Class 3, District 3 championship.

Boonville travels to Wardsville to play Blair Oaks in the Class 3, District 4 title game.

Hannibal is on the road playing the undefeated Warrenton Warriors in the Class 4, District 5 championship.

Helias hosts Lebannon in Jefferson City in Class 5, District 5 title game.

And Rock Bridge plays the undefeated Troy Buchanan Trojans for the Class 6, District 4 championship game.

In 8-man football Paris plays North Shelby in the District 8 Quarterfinal.

One game is on the schedule for tomorrow (Saturday) when Van-Far takes a long trip to Perryville to play 10-0 St. Vincent in the Class 1, District 1 Semifinals.

The University of Missouri men’s basketball team cruised to a record-tying 72-point win in a 111-39 victory over Mississippi Valley State at Mizzou Arena last (Thursday) night.

The 72-point victory matches the largest in school history, tying the mark set first set in 1976 versus MacMurray and also accomplished against Chicago State in 1995.

Marques Warrick led Mizzou with 16 points, including four 3-pointers.

With the win, the Tigers improve to 3-1 on the season and 3-0 in Mizzou Arena.

The St. Louis Blues have dropped four straight games after losing 4-3 to the Buffalo Sabres in overtime on the road on Thursday, November 14, 2024.

Brandon Saad scored twice for St. Louis who fell to 7-9-1 on the season.
