Mexico High School Boys And Girls Wrestling Teams Dominate At Home Duals Against Orchard Farm, Eldon And Southern Boone

The Mexico High School boys wrestling team went 3-0 in a home dual against Eldon, Southern Boone and Orchard Farm on Tuesday, January 14, 2025.

A host of Mexico Bulldogs wrestlers went undefeated on the night.

They included Carlos Juarez Ramirez, Logan Hilderman, Brayden Arnold, Watson Azdell, Kyler Carr, Grant Van Horn, Jayden Hodge and Grant Walker.

Mexico boys wrestling team head coach Gayle Adams says “As a whole the team wrestled hard and getting better every time out. It’s nice to wrestle in front of the home crowd and anytime you get three wins in duals against Class 2 opponents is great. A lot of wrestling is left for the season to get better with the end goal in February at State.”

The Mexico boys shutout Orchard Farm 82-0.

Mexico defeated Eldon 74-6.

And the Bulldogs boys took down Southern Boone 41-26.

Mexico Lady Bulldogs wrestler Alexus Johns earned her 100th career win at the Mexico High School on Tuesday, January 14, 2025.

Johns is a junior at the Mexico High School and has amassed a 101-20 overall record.

The Mexico Girls went 3-0 on the night with a 36-30 win over Eldon,

A 42-24 victory against Southern Boone and a 45-6 win against Orchard Farms.

The Mexico girls improved to 5-3 on the season in duals.
