An investigation is underway in Fulton after a teen was found dead in a car after being shot during the evening hours of Sunday, Jan. 19, 2025.
According to a news release sent from the Fulton Police Department, a juvenile has been detained.
Officers responded to a disabled vehicle call at South Business 54 and Commons Drive around 11:51 on Sunday night.
Officers say they found a male victim who had died from multiple gunshot wounds at the scene.
The victim was later identified as 17-year-old Mason Sheets by Fulton Police.
A juvenile female who was at the scene was taken into custody by officers.
Police would not disclose whether or not this female is a suspect due to her being a juvenile.

Details of Occurrence: On 01/19/2025 at 11:51 pm Fulton Police responded to the South Business 54 and Commons Drive area for a report of a disabled vehicle. Upon arrival officers located a male victim with gunshot wounds who succumbed from their injuries at the scene. The victim was identified as Mason Sheets, 17 year old male, from Fulton. A juvenile female who was at the scene was taken into custody. The Mid Missouri Major Case Squad has been activated and the investigation is continuing.
