Community R-VI Lady Trojans End Season In District Tournament Semi-Finals Against Higbee

The Community R6 Lady Trojans had their basketball season come to an end with a 48-34 loss to Higbee in the semifinals of the Class 1 District 9 Tournament at the Madison High School on 2/27/2025.

The Lady Trojans trailed 4-1 after the first quarter.

Junior Peyton Beamer hit three-three pointers in the second quarter and Community took a two point lead into halftime.

Higbee would outscore Community 21-10 in the fourth quarter to seal the victory.

Peyton Beamer led the Lady Trojans offense with 17 points.

Aailyah Welch finished with 6 points.

Kat Meyer and Jocelyn Curtis put 5 points each respectively.

And Chloe Johnson rounded out the scoring book with 2 points.

Higbee’s Ronnie Welch led all scorers with 19 points.

Higbee will play Cairo in the District Championship game on 3/1/2025 at 1pm at the Madison High School.

Community finishes the 2024-2025 season with 17 wins.
