Mexico Public Safety Arrests Man After Foot Pursuit
A Mexico man is facing multiple charges after an arrest during the morning hours of Friday, Feb. 28, 2025.
According to a news release from Mexico Public Safety they responded to the 100 block of North Western in reference to a person being inside a business he had been banned from.
Officers say they found the subject, 20-year-old Shawntarius E.T. Hoffman, on another property he had been banned from in the 800 block of Monroe.
According to the news release, when officers attempted to contact Hoffman, he ran.
Officers chased Hoffman on foot for about six blocks before taking him into custody.
Hoffman was processed at Mexico Public Safety and taken to the Audrain County Jail for four counts of Trespassing, Stealing under $150,
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Resisting Arrest.
