Grease Fire in Mexico Sunday
Mexico Public Safety responded to a house fire on Sunday, (June 15, 2025) at approximately 12:48PM. The call was in the 300 block of Pleasant Street.
Responding personnel found the fire in the kitchen. It was contained and extinguished in that area, with the kitchen suffering significant fire damage and the rest of house suffering moderate smoke damage.
A resident of the house stated he had a pan of grease on the stove, and he left the room for a few minutes and when he returned he saw the area around the stove on fire.
No injuries were reported from the fire.
