Gunfire Arrest on Brown School Road

A Columbia man was charged yesterday with multiple felonies after allegedly firing a gun at another person’s house.

According to probable cause statements, Marlon Roberto Mejia-Fuentez fired multiple shots at a victim’s home on Brown Station Road in Columbia on August 9th.

The statement says that Mejia Fuentez was in an intimate relationship with a neighbor of the victim who was married, and that Mejia-Fuentez fired the shots because the victim provided video to the neighbor’s husband.

Yesterday, a warrant was issued for Mejia-Fuentez on charges of First Degree Assault, Armed Criminal Action, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. He is currently being held in the Boone County Jail without bond.
