Lyons arrested for burglary and animal abuse
Mexico Public safety arrested a man yesterday (Tuesday) regarding a burglary last Friday. The break-in occurred sometime that morning, as MPSD responded to the 1000 block of Hazel Place at 11:54am.
Officers spoke with the resident who reported coming home on a lunch break to find that someone had entered the home and killed a dog inside.
The investigation led to the arrest of 34-year-old Allen A Lyons. The man had been in a relationship with the resident and had lived in the home until recently.
Lyons was processed at MPSD and taken to the Audrain County Jail for Burglary 2nd degree and Animal Abuse.
