Mexico city council recap
The Mexico city council has raised the sewer rate by one cent for average users, citing ongoing infrastructure needs and a major bond issue dating back to 2010. Residents using 5,000 gallons of water will now pay 51 cents per unit, up from 50 cents.
Other approved spending at last night’s meeting included a new mower and an oil sprayer, while the large-scale improvement project on Kentucky Road needed additional money for extended engineering work.
The council also welcomed Paul Gillette to the tourism board. They anticipate facing big hospital-related decisions in November.
