Missouri’s congressional map trial delayed again

The Missouri redistricting fight is dragging on, with a Cole County trial delayed for the second time Thursday.

People Not Politicians sued Secretary of State Denny Hoskins over thousands of rejected signatures for a voter referendum on Missouri’s congressional map.

Tensions flared in the courtroom after attorney Marc Ellinger, representing Put Missouri First, asked for a new judge, further postponing proceedings.

Supporters argue Missourians deserve clarity before the map takes effect.

The trial is now set to resume Friday, Nov. 21, under Judge Cotton Walker.
