The Community R-6 girls improved to 7-2 with a 44-36 win last night over Van-Far. The Lady Trojans jumped out to a 13-1 lead and never looked back. They were led by Peyton Beamer’s 25 points. She took home scoring honors as teamamte Jocelyn Curtis added 12. Van-Far’s Elliot Utterback scored 14 to pace the Lady Indians.
In the boy’s game, it was all Van-Far as the Indians scored the first 29 points of the game en route to a 55-11 win. Pacey Reading had 21 points for Van-Far. The Indians broke a 3-game losing streak and are now 3-3 on the season.
