A new round of local elections is underway in Jefferson City as the filing period for the municipal election opened Tuesday.
Each of the city’s five wards will elect one council member to a full two-year term, with voting scheduled for April 7, 2026.
The filing window closes at noon on December 30.
So far, candidates filed include:
First Ward: Randy Hoselton (incumbent), George Bacon (new candidate)
Second Ward: Mike Lester (incumbent)
Third Ward: Treaka Young (incumbent)
Fourth Ward: Chris Leuckel (incumbent)
Fifth Ward: Mackenzie Job (incumbent), Rebekah L. Frost (new candidate)
