Boone County officials are celebrating the grand opening of the new $20 million Regional Training Center this Saturday at the Boone County Public Safety Campus in Columbia.
Which brings all law enforcement and first responder training under one roof.
The center features indoor shooting ranges, live shoot houses, driving simulators, and mock setups for dispatch and jail operations.
Several Mid-Missouri agencies, including Ashland Police, plan to train there under a new three-year partnership.
The public is invited to tour the facility from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, with demonstrations by Boone County deputies throughout the morning.
