
Columbia Police say a man with several felony warrants is now in custody after a 20mile high-speed chase through Boone County Wednesday afternoon.
Detectives with the Street Crimes Unit tried to stop the suspect around 2:30 p.m., when he indicated he had a gun and sped away.
The chase stretched from U.S. 63 north toward Hallsville, then back south through rural roads and fields before ending near U.S. 63 and Dripping Springs Road around 2:50 p.m.
Columbia Police say the arrest involved help from Boone County deputies, the Highway Patrol, Hallsville Police, and a K9 unit.
The suspect’s name has not yet been released.
