A police chase in Columbia ended in a crash Wednesday night near Brickton and Trimble Roads, close to the Broadway and U.S. 63 shopping area.
Officers say they tried to stop a speeding driver around 7 p.m., but the suspect, who didn’t have a valid license, took off.
The chase ended when the suspect’s car hit a pickup truck, causing it to overturn.
Police say the suspect tried to steal another vehicle while fleeing on foot but was quickly arrested.
Both the suspect and a passenger were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The pickup’s driver was also hurt but declined treatment.
Investigators say there’s no ongoing danger, and several felony charges are pending.
