A 31-year-old Columbia man was sentenced to 27 years in prison yesterday (Thursday) on charges tied to the June 2024 drug-related death of Victoria Chapman.
Zachary Muro entered into a plea agreement that downgraded a second-degree murder charger into two drug trafficking charges and one charge for involuntary manslaughter.
The 22-year-old Chapman died from a fentanyl overdose on June 8, 2024. Muro had provided the drugs. He was linked to the scene and then arrested during a traffic stop where police found plastic bags of methamphetamine and fentanyl.
