Columbia Man Faces Drug Trafficking, Weapons, and Child Endangerment Charges

A Columbia man is facing multiple felony charges after Boone County deputies say a SWAT search turned up drugs, cash and a handgun.

Deputies arrested 38-year-old Damon Lashay Thompson Tuesday morning after raiding a home on Geyser Boulevard.

Investigators say Thompson was found in a bathroom with what appeared to be a white crystalline substance on his hands and clothing.

A child was also in the home.

Deputies report seizing meth, fentanyl, cocaine, Xanax, a 9-millimeter pistol and more than $3,000.

Court records show Thompson has prior felony convictions and now faces new charges including drug trafficking, armed criminal action, and child endangerment.
