Bad health and impending weather have moved the Cole County R-I School District in Russellville to cancel school for tomorrow (Friday, January 23, 2026). It makes the third day this week the district has canceled classes due to illness.
A post on the district’s Facebook page stated that the district reviewed its staff availability and the weather forecast before canceling.
School officials said they would take the time to deep-clean the school and give everyone a chance to recover.
The Basketball Court Warming games against Linn have been moved to Friday, February 20, with the Courtwarming dance on Saturday, February 21.
