A major winter storm is set to impact our region from Saturday morning through Sunday evening.
Expect heavy snowfall and bitter cold, with the heaviest snow likely Saturday night into Sunday morning.
A Winter Storm Warning is now in effect along and south of I‑70, while a Cold Weather Advisory covers the entire area.
Snow will come in two rounds, one Saturday and another overnight into Sunday, bringing widespread travel issues and dangerously low wind chills, some near –10 to –20 degrees.
The storm will taper off late Sunday, but the deep freeze will linger into next week.
