Prosecutors have charged Mizzou defensive end Zion Young with driving while intoxicated and speeding in an incident last December.

Court documents say a state trooper clocked Young going 64 in a 50-mile-per-hour zone on Providence Road around 1:30 a.m. on December 13.

The trooper reported smelling alcohol and said Young admitted coming from a downtown Columbia bar.

Young allegedly refused field sobriety and breath tests before being arrested and taken to the University of Missouri Hospital for a blood draw.
His blood alcohol results haven’t been released.
Young is due in court February 25th at the Boone County Courthouse.
