A Missouri lawmaker wants to end the production of Kansas City Chiefs license plates in the state.
Last week, Representative Chad Perkins of Bowling Green filed House Bill 3050, which would terminate Missouri’s emblem agreement with the team after the Chiefs move to Kansas in 2031.
Under the proposal, the state would stop issuing any new plates featuring the Chiefs logo beginning August 28th, 2026.
There has been no schedule vote nor committee assigned to the bill.
However, under the proposed guidelines, plates already on the road would remain valid until they expire or are turned in at local license bureaus.
