
The bench trial for former Moberly police officer David Kip Heyde originally scheduled for Friday in Randolph County Court is now scheduled for June 25 and 26.
The 68yearold Heyde (Hi-Dee) is charged with second-degree murder in hte fatal July shooting of 23-year-old Bailey Scott.
Law enforcement authorities say he called 911 and admitted to shooting Scott twice during an argument outside his home on East Logan Street.
Heyde had been held without bond until a judge granted a $100,000 bond in November. He then waived his right to a jury trial.
