The public will soon have a chance to weigh in on the next phase of the Improve I-70 project through Columbia.
The Missouri Department of Transportation is hosting two open-house hearings for the Rocheport-to-Columbia section part of its statewide expansion plan.
Meetings are set for March 2 at Boone Electric Cooperative and March 4 at Midway Golf and Games.
The project will add a third lane in each direction on I-70 and includes major interchange upgrades, new bridges, and road connections.
Construction kicks off this spring and is expected to wrap up by late 2029.
MoDOT says two lanes will stay open in each direction during peak travel times.
