State high school wrestling takes center stage in Columbia this week.
The Class 1, Class 2, and Girls State Wrestling Championships get underway Today and continue Thursday at the Mizzou Arena in Columbia, hosted by the Missouri State High School Activities Association.
Hundreds of student-athletes from across Missouri have battled through district and sectional competition for the opportunity to compete on the state’s biggest stage.
For many smaller schools, simply qualifying for Columbia is a major accomplishment and a proud community moment.
The championships continue later this week as Class 3 and Class 4 wrestlers take the mat Friday and Saturday, wrapping up Missouri’s state wrestling competition for 2026.
Country 96 95.7 FM will be providing reports, results, and updates throughout the week as our local athletes compete for state titles.
