A traffic shift is coming next week for drivers in Kingdom City.
Starting Monday, March 2, crews will move westbound traffic on U.S. Route 54 onto a brand-new bridge west of the current one.
Eastbound drivers will shift onto the old westbound lanes.
All ramps will stay open, but these changes will last about a month.
MoDOT urges drivers to slow down, buckle up, and stay alert in the work zone.
This work is part of MoDOT’s $405 million project to expand I-70 between Columbia and Kingdom City, adding a third lane each way and improving interchanges at Routes 63 and 54.
