CLASS 4 – SECTIONAL ACTION:
Orchard Farm paced Hallsville, 69-48
and Logan-Rogersville scorched Southern Boone, 72-39

Mizzou ran their win streak to 13 games with a 14-6 win over Southern Indiana yesterday.

IN MLB
The St. Louis Cardinals lost to the Mets 6-1 yesterday.
Jarod Shuster gave up 4 of the New York runs.
Nelson Velazquez homered for the Cards.
After the game they reassigned three more players to minor league camp, including Outfielder Chase Davis, right-handed pitcher Max Rajcic and left-hander Bruce Zimmermann.
The cuts reduce the number of players in Cardinals camp to 43.

Kansas City lost 4-3 to the Seattle Mariners as a late rally fell just short.

IN THE N-H-L
It was fun while it lasted but the St. Louis Blues’ four-game win streak came to an end last night in disappointing fashion.
The Blues lost 4-3 in overtime to the NY Islanders at Enterprise Center.
Mathew Barzal scored the game-winning goal with 2:49 remaining in overtime.
The goal capped a comeback from three goals down for the Islanders.

Chiefs re-signed tight end Travis Kelce to a 1-year contract.
