The Class 4 District 8 Boys and Girls Basketball Teams were announced yesterday. On the Boys side, Charlie Fisher from Mexico was the District Player of the Year. District Coach of the Year honors was a tie between Mexico’s Darren Pappas and Brett Boyer from Moberly.
Other local members of the team included Paul Bruner and Thomas Pittman from Fulton, Tatum Braman and Keilin Dorman from Hallsville, Fisher and Kaden Benne from Mexico, and Cameron Dubrava, Amare Hawkins, and Collin Knox from Moberly.
On the Girls side, local players named to the team were Ali Skinner from Fulton, Alyssa Miller, Scottie Smith and Grace Hudson from Mexico and Olivia Dunwoody, Mia Faught and Kiya Tydings from Moberly.
