The Missouri Department of Transportation says drivers in Jefferson City should plan for a long-term bridge closure.
Starting April 6, MoDOT will shut down the Bolivar Street bridge over Highway 50 for about four months.
Crews will repair the bridge deck, add a new surface overlay, and apply protective coatings underneath.
The north sidewalk will be removed while the south sidewalk gets upgrades.
The bridge is expected to reopen by mid-August.
This work is part of MoDOT’s ongoing project to repair 11 bridges across Jefferson City
