Two fires this morning in Cole County

Firefighters in Cole County busy today.

The Cole County Fire Protection District was busy this morning as crews were called to a structure fire in rural Cole County.

Firefighters were dispatched around 5:30 a.m. to the 1100 block of Honey Creek Road. Upon arrival, they found a trailer that was about halfway engulfed in flames, and they knocked down the fire within 15 minutes, according to a news release.

The cause of the fire is undetermined.

No injuries were reported

 

Then at 11:35am, firefighters in Jefferson City were called to a reported structure fire at an apartment building at 112 Amador Avenue.

Upon arrival, crews discovered a fire on an upstairs apartment patio. JCFPD quickly extinguished the flames and contained the blaze to limit the extent of the damage to the exterior patio area.

There were no reported injuries.
