A Callaway County man submitted an Alford plea for his murder charges in Cole County court today.
Zacchaeus Silva had been indicted for second degree murder in 2017 as well as multiple other charges of assault and armed criminal action.
The Alford plea that he submitted means that he does not explicitly admit guilt, but recognizes that the state has enough evidence to convict him.
Sentencing is set for July 13 before Judge Daniel Green.
