Missouri Task Force 1 is now accepting applications for its 2027 recruit class.
According to the Boone County Fire Protection District, interested applicants must submit their applications and certifications by July 31st.
Officials say candidates should begin gathering certifications, updating resumes and training records, and securing letters of recommendation ahead of the deadline.
Applicants must live within three hours of the district headquarters and be able to meet the organization’s training and deployment requirements.
Missouri Task Force 1 is one of 28 FEMA Urban Search and Rescue Task Forces and operates as a division of the Boone County Fire Protection District.
