A prisoner is now facing a murder charge for allegedly killing another inmate at Jefferson City Correctional Center.
38-year-old Zachariah J. Peterson, of Columbia, was indicted by grand jury today for second degree murder.
He was originally sentenced to prison for murder in 2011. Court documents say he is to continue being held at Jeff City Correctional Center until his scheduled court appearance on July 16th.
