Suspects Denied Bond in Huff Death Investigation

A Randolph County judge denied bond Monday for two suspects charged in connection with the disappearance and death of 16-year-old Kayla Huff of Moberly.

Twenty-three-year-old Christopher Hull, charged with kidnapping and evidence tampering, and 24-year-old Skyler Powell, accused of hindering prosecution, both appeared in court and remain jailed.

Nineteen-year-old Hunter Ames, who faces murder, kidnapping, and evidence tampering charges, also appeared before a judge.

Supporters of the Huff family filled the courtroom wearing “Justice for Kayla Huff” shirts.

Huff disappeared in May and was later found dead at the Rudolf Bennitt Conservation Area.

Multiple adults and a juvenile have been charged in the case, with additional court hearings scheduled throughout June and July.
