Charges were dropped last week in a case involving an Audrain County man who was accused of murdering his brother.
Charges of Second Degree Murder, Armed Criminal Action, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon against Stephen Welch were dropped on Friday, as the Boone County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office was appointed in the case.
Stephen Welch was originally accused in the shooting killing his brother, Christopher Welch, in May of 2024.
