Niangua Bridge accident is deadly

A two-vehicle head-on collision at the Lake of the Ozarks has left a 63-year-old Roach, Missouri man dead.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident happened just before 6:30 last night on Highway 5 at the Niangua Bridge, when the two vehicles hit. The Roach man was northbound in a 2004 Toyota Highlander, when a 27-year Columbia man driving a southbound 2018 BMW X3 hit each other.

A 22-year-old Columbia man, who was a passenger in the BMW, was airlifted with serious injuries to University Hospital in Columbia.
