Ashland Man Sustains Injury after Accident on Old US 54

A 76-year-old Ashland man was taken to hospital today after a multi-vehicle accident.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the Ashland man experienced a medical event while driving on Old US 54, which caused him to lose track of his Chevy Colorado and crash into the rear of a Ford Expedition.

The 57-year-old Jefferson City woman driving the Ford was uninjured, while the Ashland man sustained minor physical injuries and was taken to hospital.

MSHP noted that the Jefferson City woman was wearing her seatbelt, but the Ashland man was not wearing his.
