Jefferson City Fire Department made a rescue today for a man who was stranded on a man lift after it became inoperable near full height.
The man was reportedly about 30 feet above ground level when fire crews arrived in the 1800 block of Vieth Drive, as they brought one engine, one squad, two ladder companies, and two chief officers.
Crews used the lift’s manual hydraulic override system to safely lower the platform and bring the worker to the ground.
He was not injured and did not require medical attention.
