Man Shot by Randolph County Authorities Charged with Felonies

A man who was shot by a deputy in Randolph County on Friday has been charged with multiple felonies.

On Friday, authorities went to a trailer court for a report of trespassing against Thomas Crewse Jr. because he was reportedly not a legal tenant at the court. When they asked him to come out of the residence, he came out with a long gun pointed horizontally, at which point a deputy fired at him.

Crewse was taken to hospital for his injuries, where he is reportedly stable.

Prosecutors charged Crewse, with two counts of First Degree Assault on aSpecial Victim, two counts of Armed Criminal Action, and Resisting Arrest For A Felony.

After he is released from the hospital, he will be jailed without bond.
