Public Safety Responds to Car Fire in Mexico on Saturday
Mexico Public Safety responded to a vehicle fire on Saturday afternoon in the 300 block of N. Abat St.
When responding personnel arrived, they found a 2005 Subaru with flames coming from the engine compartment. They were able to contain the fire and extinguish it, with the engine compartment suffering significant fire damage.
Authorities say the fire started in the battery area, likely due to a loose battery hold-down bracket.
There were no injuries from the incident.
