I-70 Traffic Shift in Callaway County

Drivers on Interstate 70 in Callaway County will see a new traffic pattern starting in August.

The Missouri Department of Transportation says westbound traffic between Exit 144 and U.S. 54 in Kingdom City will shift onto newly paved lanes overnight Wednesday.

Eastbound traffic will move into the median during the week of August 10.

During construction, lanes will be narrowed to 10 feet and separated by a temporary concrete barrier.

Drivers also won’t be able to change lanes between mile markers 144 and 146, or between 148 and 149.

Motorists should expect delays and use extra caution through the work zone.
