Arrest in Sunday Shots fired incident in COMO

A 20-year old Columbia man was arrested after a shots fired incident early Sunday morning near Columbia’s Ninth and Walnut streets.

According to a news release from the Columbia Police Department, Tavon Williams-Patrick was arrested after officers observed Williams-Patrick place a gun on a sidewalk, and then attempt to leave the scene, according to the release.

He was charged with fourth-degree assault, armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon and unlawful discharge of a firearm.
