Osage County fatal for motorcyclist

A Hartsburg man is dead after a three vehicle accident Saturday on US 63 near County Road 512, in Osage County.

The crash happened as a 54-year old Boonville man, driving a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado, crossed the centerline and struck a 2017 Harley Davidson head-on. Debris from both vehicles then struck a 2002 Harley Davidson causing it to turn-over.

The driver of the first motorcycle, a 61-year old from Hartsburg, died in the wreck. His 50-year old female passenger, also from Hartsburg, was ejected and has serious injuries.

The 64-year-old Jefferson City man that was driving the 2nd motorcycle sustained moderate injuries.

They were both taken to University Hospital in Columbia.
