Summer broil to continue

One of the hottest summers in recent memory continues to have a hold of mid-Missouri as today an Extreme Heat Warning exists for counties between the I-70 and I-44 corridors in Missouri and southwest Illinois. A Heat Advisory is in effect for the rest of
the region.

Temperatures are expected in the 90’s with heat index values near 110 or higher for most of the listening area.

If you are going to be out today in the heat for an extended period, make sure to hydrate and take plenty of breaks.
