in NFL ACTION LAST NIGHT
The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Denver Broncos 31-10 on Monday Night Football to open their 2026 NFL regular season with a dominant divisional victory at Arrowhead Stadium.
The Chiefs dominated the Broncos, winning behind a huge debut from Kenneth Walker III, who totaled 173 rushing yards and two touchdowns.
Patrick Mahomes showed some early rust but finished with 184 passing yards and two TDs, plus a rushing score.
Travis Kelce also made history by moving into 2nd all-time in tight end receiving yards.
Denver struggled all night, managing just 176 total yards, with Bo Nix throwing an interception and losing a key fumble.

in MLB ACTION LAST NIGHT
The Kansas City Royals have the night off.

The St. Louis Cardinals defeated the San Francisco Giants 2-1 at Busch Stadium.
Rookie left-hander Quinn Mathews delivered a spectacular performance, flirting with a no-hitter into the sixth inning to lead the Redbirds to victory in the series opener.
St. Louis broke through in the 5th with RBI singles from Alec Burleson and Leo Bernal.
The defense and bullpen then came up huge, including Bernal throwing out a runner and Justin Bruihl escaping a bases-loaded jam.
The 9th got tense when Riley O’Brien loaded the bases, but he reached 100 mph and got the final groundout to secure his 37th save.
