MoDOT Winter Drill

If you think your seeing more MoDot trucks on the road today, it’s not just you . The Missouri Department of Transportation is holding its annual winter operations drill today and tomorrow.

Motorists may notice an increased number of MoDOT trucks on state routes during the drill.

Going into the winter season, 17% of MoDot snowplow operators have less than one year of experience, and more than 40% have less than three years of experience, according to MoDOT Chief Safety & Operations Officer Becky Allmeroth.

MoDOT has approximately 3,000 employees across the state involved in work to clear roads and bridges when winter weather hits.
