A Fulton patrol car and its contents are a total loss after it caught fire during the evening hours of Saturday, January 4, 2025.
According to Fulton Police Chief Bill Ladwig, it happened around 6:15pm, when two Fulton Police Officers noticed a burning odor inside their vehicle.
Ladwig says they pulled off the road at Route F and Amerihost Drive into a parking lot to investigate.
As they exited the vehicle, it immediately became fully engulfed in flames.
There was no damage to any property other than the Fulton patrol car and there were no injuries to the officers or anyone else.
The Fulton Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire which appeared to have started in the rear of the vehicle where electronic equipment is mounted according to the news release.
