Missouri counties are now eligible to receive federal funds for prescription drug monitoring programs.
U.S. Senator, Claire McCaskill said counties can apply for the money from the Department of Health and Human Services.
Missouri was the only state in the country without such statewide monitoring program.
The program’s aim is to combat the opioid epidemic.
