Columbia Police have arrested 2 people in relation to a kidnapping and assault that happened yesterday morning.
CPD reports the 29 year old male victim was forced into a residence at 2904 Range Line at gunpoint by 3 people. The suspects were known to the victim as Robert Johnson, Nichole Barrett, and an unknown male,
Once inside he was allegedly assaulted by Johnson and the other male with a flashlight. Officers observed bruises and lacerations on the victim. He was taken out of the residence to a vehicle.
The victim thought they were going to kill him, and told them he could get car rims they wanted if they took him to a certain address. When they arrived at the address, he was able to escape on foot.
Johnson and Barrett are being held on numerous charges including kidnapping, armed criminal action and assault.
